Casson Homes Incorporated was established in 1922 by Mrs. Susan Casson M.B.E. J.P. and it is believed to be the first charitable organisation formed for the benefit of psychiatric patients in Australia.

The Organisation was called "The Mental Hospital After Care and Comforts Fund Association Incorporated'.

The name was officially changed to Casson Homes Incorporated in 1984 and has always been under the direction of a Board of Management.

The residential facilities that form Casson Homes Inc are Casson House, St. Rita's Nursing Home, Woodville House, independent living houses and annexes.

Casson Homes Incorporated speciality is looking after people who suffer from a mental illness
