St Rita’s Nursing Home is a 47 bed high care residential aged care facility that offers professional nursing services and allied health. The home is clustered into 6 sections offering single and shared room accommodation. Inside is a modernised  layout with high quality furnishings. Their is beautiful gardens surrounding the building with walk ways that are safe and secure. St Rita’s has staffing 24 hours a day and lifestyle and leisure programs. All meals are cooked onsite by a qualified chef and cleaning services, hairdressing and community outings are part of the service. It’s location is a short distance from the hub of North Perth with local cafes and access to public transport.

Casson House – 2-10 Woodville Street North Perth WA

Casson House is a licenced psychiatric hostel located in North Perth as well as a residential aged care facility. Casson House specialises in providing professional mental health services with a focus on well being and recovery. Its the largest of the Casson Homes Inc. care facilities with accommodation up to 90 beds. The majority of beds offered are single rooms with some shared rooms. Their is a coordinated team of registered nurses, enrolled nurses and mental health liaison staff that provide individualised care and nursing services to meet your needs. Casson House has leisure and lifestyle programs in place that focus on your well being and recovery goals. The home is located in the hub of North Perth and access to Angove Street is within walking distance for a coffer or bite to eat.   Local shops and public transport are accessed with a short walking distance.   The home is staff 24 hours a day with approved supervisors, access to medical officers is onsite and allied health programs are offered

Casson Homes Inc. has private tenancy housing for people who are at risk/ or are homelessness  and living with a mental health diagnosis. These properties are local to North Perth and its purpose is to assist those in need of housing in shared accommodation.

ACCOMMODATION PRICING INFORMATION

St Rita’s Nursing Home is a not for profit facility that provides residential care for people who are living with a mental illness. St Rita’s Nursing Home is located in North Perth. It was purpose built by Casson Homes Inc. to accommodate residents whose care needs required specialized services.

The home includes single rooms and shared twin rooms with shared ensuites. The home is one complex with 6 wings. Each wing has common lounge, dining and courtyard.

We provide a range of services including

  • 24 hours care by registered nursing staff
  • Mental Health Services
  • Occupational and Physiotherapy Individualized Programs
  • Hospitality Staff – Onsite Cooking by Qualified Chef

The Government will pay an accommodation supplement for residents who are assessed as supported/concessional through an income and assets test. Depending on your circumstances the Government will pay either all, part or none of your accommodation payment

ACCOMMODATION PAYMENT OPTIONS

 There are three payment options to choose from:

  1. Daily accommodation payment (paid periodically, eg monthly) Alternatively, you can choose to pay a daily payment for your accommodation at a cost of single Room $41.56 per day or Shared Room $39.32 per day

 

  1. Refundable accommodation deposit (paid as a lump sum) The maximum refundable accommodation deposit you will be charged is Single Room $370,000 or Shared Room $350,000 (option not required by Casson Homes )
  2. Combination of refundable accommodation deposit and daily payment You can also choose to pay a combination the refundable accommodation deposit and the daily accommodation payment.

There are possibly three separate charges for you accommodation that makes up the true cost for residing in an aged care facility. They are all determined by the aged care provider, Department of Health and Ageing and Centrelink. Depending on your financially circumstances the government will subsidise your payment to us or request you to pay some or all of the costs.

The three costs are

  • A Daily Fee – determined by Department of Health and Ageing Residents Schedule of Fees and Charges
  • An Accommodation Payment (Formally known as an accommodation Charge/Bond)
  • Means Tested Fee – (Formerly know as an income tested fee)

It was purpose built in 1922 as a licensed psychiatric hostel and became a residential aged care service in late 90’s. Casson House has recently expanded its living environment with a new wing and new furniture and fittings throughout the home

The home includes single rooms and shared twin rooms with shared bathrooms. The home has common areas such as TV rooms, Quite Rooms, Dinning Areas, Activities Hall and Gymnasium  

We provide a range of services including

  • 24 hours care by registered  staff
  • Registered Nurse and Enrolled Nurse onsite
  • Mental Health Services – onsite
  • Medical Officers onsite and Telehealth
  • Occupational and Physiotherapy Individualized Programs
